LYNX Technik AG at IBC 2025

LYNX Technik continues to innovate at the core signal infrastructure level. Their Yellobrik and Series-5000 modules are staples in broadcast hardware racks, and at IBC 2025 they emphasized new converters, higher channel density, and smarter fibre/IP bridges.

What’s New

  • CWDM multiplexer / decomposer modules
They introduced an 18-channel CWDM (OCM1800) mux / demux system, enabling denser signal packing over fibre while maintaining modular flexibility.

  • New 12G-SDI distribution & conversion modules
Their modular cards (e.g. DVD 5410) address the demand for high-bandwidth baseband connections and clean, manageable signal distribution.

  • Bi-directional SDI / ST 2110 modules
Modules that convert between SDI and IP (ST 2110) in both directions help facilities migrating from traditional SDI networks to IP-based cores, offering redundancy, NMOS control, and modular upgrade paths.

What It Gives You

  • Dense fibre usage, fewer fibres
The CWDM approach lets you carry more signals per fibre line — cost and routing benefits, especially in large deployments or OB/flypack settings.

  • Smooth transition from SDI to IP
If your facility is migrating to IP, LYNX’s modular converters help you do so gradually, retaining investment in SDI gear while bridging into IP domains.

  • Flexible, maintenance-friendly architecture
Because their modules are hot-swappable and modular, you can upgrade or repair parts without tearing down racks or routing.
