Marquis at IBC 2025
At IBC this year, Marquis showcased some major updates across its product range, all designed to simplify media integration, synchronisation, and archive workflows for busy production environments.
Workspace Sync was a key highlight. This fast and flexible synchronisation tool is built to maintain continuity and streamline distribution. With direct sync between on-premises and AWS Nexis workspaces, users can keep mirrored copies of work environments for business continuity, content distribution, or moving assets between storage tiers. Importantly, the sync process moves content directly from source to destination — meaning files are never left at rest during transfer. With checksum confirmation for every transfer and support for local or remote workspaces (via the Fotonflite plugin), Workspace Sync gives facilities confidence that content is moving securely and efficiently.
Medway also saw important new capabilities. Marquis introduced a standalone Media Composer panel solution for ingest with “edit whilst capture,” alongside camera card ingest and automated proxy relinking. The workflows demonstrated at IBC spanned across major partner systems: Sony’s Ci Media Cloud and C3 Portal, LiveU ingest into post, Ross Media I/O, EVS VIA MAP and XStore, and Avid Media Composer “lens to first edit” workflows. The message was clear: Medway remains one of the most powerful integration solutions available for bridging systems in news, sport, and production.
On the archive and project management side, Postflux continues to grow. Already popular as a project archive, backup, and transfer tool for Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Avid Pro Tools, and DaVinci Resolve, Postflux now offers more flexible version-controlled backups, centralised archives, and direct copying to local disks, networked storage, object stores, and cloud. At IBC, Marquis highlighted Postflux for Pro Tools as a standalone product, bringing full project archive and backup workflows into audio environments. With distributed collaboration and flexible restoration options, Postflux gives creative teams the assurance that nothing is ever lost and every project version can be recovered.
What stood out across all these updates was Marquis’ focus on real-world resilience and flexibility. Whether it’s maintaining uptime during storage outages, automating complex ingest chains, or ensuring projects are properly archived and retrievable, Marquis tools are engineered to reduce risk and keep media moving. For any production facility looking to safeguard its workflows and simplify integrations, the new enhancements shown at IBC 2025 make Marquis an increasingly compelling choice.
