Blackmagic was relatively quiet on new hardware at IBC 2025, but that silence hides clever strategic updates — particularly in software, codec support, and workflow polish. 

What Changed

• DaVinci Resolve & ProRes RAW support
   One of the biggest applause lines: Resolve now supports ProRes RAW editing natively. That opens the door for productions that mix cameras (e.g. drones, cinema bodies, Blackmagic cameras) to work with ProRes RAW footage without needing heavy transcoding. 

• Workflow & operational refinements
   Even though new cameras were not the highlight this year, Blackmagic continues to refine how its tools fit together — switchers, converters, monitoring, control — especially for esports and live streaming environments. 

• Speculative interest around Pyxis 12K
   Though not confirmed officially, there’s industry chatter that Blackmagic may tease or reveal more on its Pyxis 12K camera line. Their IBC presence makes that a plausible moment for such updates.
