EditShare 2025.3.0 is Here: Smarter Styling, Global Accessibility, and Powerful Metadata Control
We’ve got some exciting news for FLOW users - EditShare 2025.3.0 has officially landed! This release focuses on smarter interface styling, global accessibility, and powerful metadata management, making it easier than ever to manage massive media databases and collaborate with teams worldwide.
Whether you’re handling large-scale projects or coordinating with distributed teams, 2025.3.0 streamlines your workflow and enhances the usability of your interface. Here’s a closer look at what’s new.
EditShare One UI: Performance and Usability Overhaul
The EditShare One interface has received significant upgrades to improve browsing performance, usability, and asset management.
Key improvements include:
Pagination: Panels containing folders or assets—like Media Spaces, Projects, and Search—now include pagination controls. Each page displays up to 50 items, dramatically improving load times for large databases.
Persistent Asset Selection: Switching between Thumbnail and Title views no longer deselects chosen assets, giving you a seamless browsing experience.
Styling & Resizing: Asset lists in both Produce and Organize modules now feature improved thumbnail and list styling, along with adjustable column widths for a cleaner, more flexible interface.
Global Metadata Support: Ready for Every Team
Metadata management has been reimagined for global teams, making it more accessible and easier to navigate.
Highlights include:
Right-to-Left (RTL) Support: Users can now set their preferred language layout for RTL languages such as Arabic or Hebrew. The Metadata Tray automatically aligns standard and custom fields, ensuring a natural, familiar experience.
Enhanced Input Fields: Text areas now support multiple lines (up to 4 lines in standard mode, 10 lines in edit mode), simplifying metadata entry and visibility.
Multi-select Chips: Fields like Location now use visual chips, making it easier to manage and view multiple tags at a glance.
FLOW Automation: Granular Metadata Export
EditShare 2025.3.0 introduces a new level of control for automated workflows with custom metadata export options.
Flexible Export Options: The Metadata Export node can now be configured to export all custom fields, none, or only those enabled in a specific template—perfect for tailored workflow needs.
Proxy and Archive Workflow Enhancements
Managing proxies and archived assets is now more efficient:
SMB and NFS Hostnames: FLOW Control supports hostnames in addition to IP addresses for mounting storage, offering greater network flexibility.
Archive-to-Proxy Workflow: Users can import and edit proxy-only assets directly from the FLOW Panel. If high-resolution originals are needed, the restore process can be initiated, and full media can be relinked seamlessly.
Disaster Recovery: Resilience and Continuity
EditShare’s Disaster Recovery (DR) solution ensures your operations remain online, providing peace of mind with automated redundancy.
DR features include:
Automatic Protection: All media spaces, FLOW proxies, thumbnails, AAFs, transcriptions, and database backups are automatically secured.
Always Current: Data is replicated daily to a secure recovery site, staying in sync with the main system within the last 24 hours.
Fast Recovery: In the event of an outage, operations can quickly switch to the recovery site, minimizing downtime.
Simple Controls: FLOW Automation allows flexible scheduling, manual start/stop, and sync rules for full control over replication.
Note: DR requires additional hardware and a license for mirrored site functionality. Contact your sales representative for more details.
EditShare 2025.3.0 is all about making large-scale media management smarter, faster, and more intuitive—whether you’re working locally or across the globe. With this release, FLOW users can enjoy enhanced usability, global accessibility, and robust metadata control like never before.
