Announcing support for Apple macOS Ventura
Avid NEXIS client version 2023.3 now supports macOS Ventura on Intel, M1 and M2 based Apple Macs connected to either Avid NEXIS E-series or F-series engines.
Below are the tested and recommended NIC (network Interface cards) and machines.
- Mac Studio M1: Onboard Apple/Aquantia 1/10 Gb, Atto TLNS-3402, Atto TLNS-3252, Realtek USB-C 1 Gb adapter
- Mac Pro 7.1 (Intel): Onboard Apple/Aquantia 1/10 Gb, Atto NQ42, Atto N352
- MacBook Pro M1: Anker USB-C 1 Gb adapter and CalDigit USB-C hub, and Realtek USB-C 1 Gb adapter
- MacBook Pro M2: Anker USB-C 1 Gb adapter and CalDigit USB-C hub, and Realtek USB-C 1 Gb adapter
- MacBook Pro Intel 2019: Onboard Apple 1 Gb, Realtek USB-C 1 Gb adapter, and Sonnet Twin 10G (TB3) (Sonnet on M1/M2 pending)
- Mac M1 mini: Onboard Broadcom 37762-A0 (1 Gb), Atto TLNS-3402, Atto TLNS-3252
Testing of additional interfaces is ongoing.
Apple macOS 13.x Ventura is supported starting Avid NEXIS Client version 23.3.0.202 as released in March 2023.
