Reflections from ISE 2026

Almost two weeks on from ISE 2026 in Barcelona, our Technical Director, Darren, shares his reflections on what has quickly become one of the most significant events in the broadcast and professional AV calendar.

“ISE 2026 in Barcelona was my first visit to the show and it immediately demonstrated just how significant it has become for the broadcast and professional AV industries. With 92,170 unique visitors, an 8% increase on 2025, and 1,751 exhibitors (including 323 new companies), the scale was impressive. Spanning 101,000 square metres of floorspace, ISE is now comparable in size to IBC, underlining its growing importance as a global meeting point for technology, innovation and collaboration.

It was particularly valuable to see so many of our partner manufacturers exhibiting in force, reinforcing the strength and breadth of the ecosystems we work with. Companies such as Vizrt, AJA, Blackmagic Design, EditShare, Adder, Avid, BirdDog, Panasonic, Sony, Kiloview, Lindy, Lynx Technik, Magewell, Matrox, MRMC, Ross Video and Grass Valley, alongside many others, showcased the latest developments across live production, post-production, IP, and broadcast infrastructure. Overall, ISE 2026 provided a clear snapshot of where the industry is heading and why it is now an essential show for broadcasters, content creators and system integrators alike.”

ISE 2026 once again demonstrated the pace of innovation across live production, post-production, IP workflows and broadcast infrastructure. The scale of the event and the strength of exhibitor presence reflect its growing importance as a global meeting point for technology leaders, manufacturers and system integrators.
