EFS Native Client

Every EditShare system comes with native EFS filesystem drivers which are specifically designed for media environments, offering far superior performance and reliability over traditional network file-sharing protocols like SMB or NFS. EFS drivers provide low-latency access to shared storage nodes by eliminating the overhead and bottlenecks common in standard network protocols. Available for macOS, Windows, and Linux platforms, the multi-threaded EFS Native Client optimizes read and write streams, bypassing the latency and bandwidth limitations of legacy protocols. The native drivers also include our intelligent SwiftRead technology, which allows the client drivers to read data or parity directly from the fastest available nodes in a cluster, further improving performance and availability for 3+ node EFS 410 storage groups.

Running on the advanced EFS file system and available in a high-availability (HA) deployment, the EFS 60NL integrates seamlessly into the EFS single global namespace. It allows for secure parking of media and assets with 100% increased protection compared to legacy 60NL models, ensuring both accessibility and security for valuable content.

Ultimate MDC

Introducing the all-new Ultimate Series Metadata Controller (MDC), the essential traffic manager for controlling user assets and administering all content across your nodes. This advanced 2U EFS Metadata Controller comes pre-equipped with dual-port 10G-BaseT for high-speed connectivity and boasts enhanced processing power and performance. With double the standard RAM compared to legacy systems, it supports at least 100 million of filesystem objects per cluster with the option to upgrade the RAM beyond this to handle even higher file counts. The optional auditing kit offers up to 8TB of auditing storage, providing up to a year of auditing data retention, with mirrored primary SSD drives and mirrored auditing drives.
