Creatively, it’s all about Audience Engagement and Ross is showcasing a lot of innovations in support of this objective at IBC2017, there’s a lot to see but here’s what caught or eye.
Ross Frontier game changer for AR/VS graphics – Frontier utilizes the power of the Unreal 4 game engine to render hyper-realistic scenes, textures, and dynamic effects including real-time shadows, reflections, particles, and physical effects.

Panasonic (11.C45) are showing the NAB announced AU-EVA1 5.7K handheld 4k cinema camera,
Ikegami (12.A31) launched the HDK-73, with HDR compatibility, a must see if you’re considering studio production cameras.
Canon (12.D60) as ever have a range of new products including , the C200 camera and lenses, and the show is a chance to see its new 4K codec (Canon Cinema Raw Light),
Atomos (11.D15) are updating the Sumo production monitor/recorders, AtomHDR. The new Sumo 19M, a 19″ 1200NIT HDR Monitor for on-set and in-studio use at IBC 2017, bringing the award-winning monitoring capabilities of Sumo 19 to a new monitor-only product.
AJA (7.F11) are showing new FS-HDR universal converter/frame synchroniser for real-time HDR processing and conversion. Io 4K Plus is a new Professional Video I/O with Thunderbolt™ 3 Performance w/ 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 Ki Pro Ultra Plus is the latest model in the Ki Pro range It’s a Multi-Channel HD Recorder 4K/UltraHD/2K/HD Recorder and Player w HDR over HDMI 2.0
Marquis Broadcast (7.G05) Had some comprehensive demo’s on their new Cloud support for Project Parking Avid storage management solution and workspace back-up system
